FULTON COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH & DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES ANNOUNCES NEW LOCATIONS & TIMELINES FOR SERVICE IMPLEMENTATION    

As part of a new initiative to better serve our consumers, the Fulton County Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities will begin using new providers at various behavioral health locations.   For our adult behavioral health,  River Edge Behavioral Healthcare Center    (www.river-edge.org) will take the reins on January 1, 2018.

Chris 180    (www.chris180.org) in partnership with  Odyssey Counseling(www.odysseycounseling.org) and  Summit Behavioral Healthcare    will provide services to children, youth and emerging adults.    The list below highlights new locations and the timeline for these services to begin.

Adult Behavioral Health Services Locations - Effective January 1, 2018

  • Adamsville Regional Health Center, 3700 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, SW, Atlanta, GA 30331.   T: (404) 613-4215.  *PLEASE NOTE:    This facility will provide services for Emerging Adults (ages 18 – 24)

FULTON COUNTY GOVERNMENT IS TRANSITIONING ITS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES TO A SET OF OUTSIDE PROVIDERS, WHICH HAVE BEEN SELECTED      

  • River Edge Behavioral Health Center (www.river-edge.org)      - will provide adult behavioral health services at three locations in Fulton County: North Fulton Service Center, Center for Health & Rehabilitation, & South Fulton Service Center  
  • Chris 180 (www.chris180.org)      - Contracted to provide services for children & adolescents at the Oak Hill Child, Adolescent & Family Center, Fulton County Clubhouse for Youth, & Adamsville Health Center.
  • Odyssey Family Counseling Center (www.odysseycounseling.org)    - scheduled to provide services for children & adolescents

All vendors will begin providing behavioral health services on January 1, 2017. Chris 180 will takeover grant-funded services and the operations of the Fulton County Clubhouse for Youth beginning October 1, 2017.  (For further details, check out the August News link in the News & Information section).

The transition will only impact adult behavioral health services, substance abuse services, jail diversion services, and child & adolescent services. Fulton County residents with developmental disabilities who receive services at the three training centers operated by the County will not be impacted by these changes.
