Fulton County Cooperative Extension has partnered with the GreenHouse Foundation to provide curriculum support and gardening training through their agricultural and family sciences programs at the Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy (SACA).

As part of the partnership, Cooperative Extension will provide the school with curriculum support through their agricultural and family sciences programs which includes tracking and success measurement. SACA will serve as a host school for Cooperative Extension’s green garden training program with classes and demonstrations for parents, teachers and students.

“We are very pleased to be working with the GreenHouse Foundation and SACA because we have a mutual interest in offering innovative in-school programs to inspire youth to use “green education” in their daily lives,” states Kisha Faulk, Family and Consumer Sciences Agent for Fulton County Cooperative Extension.  “This partnership allows us to build upon our vested interest in offering programs to provide lifelong learning for all family members as outreach community educators.”

The Greenhouse Foundation was founded by Grammy Award Winning artist CeeLo Green and his sister Shedonna Alexander with the mission to educate, inspire and influence school aged children in disadvantaged areas to become responsible stewards of their environment, communities and future.
