The Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency (AFCEMA) is the lead county organization responsible for providing management and coordination of mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery activities within its area of responsibility. This is accomplished via hazard mitigation as well as preparation and response planning done in partnership with City/County agencies, regional and state level partners, non-profit entities, schools and the private sector.The Atlanta-Fulton County Emergency Management Agency (AFCEMA) is a joint agency, and the primary Emergency Management agency for Fulton County and the City of Atlanta. The Director of AFCEMA is appointed by the City of Atlanta Mayor, the Fulton County Board of Commission
