Each year, the Fulton County Department of Arts & Culture (FCAC) invests in non-profit organizations to ensure that Fulton County citizens enjoy a wide array of rich arts experiences. FCAC announces funding ranging from $2,000 to $150,000 for Fulton County based arts, cultural and community-based non-profit organizations and artist collectives for the 2015 funding cycle.

Residents urged to keep fire safety in mind when heating their homes  

Home fires occur more in the winter months than any other time of the year. The Fulton County Fire Rescue Department (FCFRD) encourages residents to be mindful of potential dangers from home heating sources. According to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), December, January and February are the leading months for home heating fires. Heating equipment is the second leading cause of U.S. home fires and home fire deaths.

During its January 21, 2015 meeting, the Fulton County Board of Commissioners unanimously adopted the 2015 General Fund budget, with no millage rate increase.  

The final $628,691,032 budget includes a range of services for residents countywide, and restores several previously reduced services. Highlights include:
