Springdale Place Observes One Year of Operations and Service to 180 Homeless Women with Children | Print |

Springdale Place Comprehensive Services Center to Homeless Women with Children opened one year ago on February 28, 2012.  Since opening the doors, Fulton County's Housing and Human Services Department, Office of Emergency and Transitional Housing has provided services to help 180 homeless mothers with children to begin building new lives with stable employment and permanent housing in their futures.  The goal of rebuilding lives one mother and family at a time continues as the facility enters its second year.

 Vice-Chair Emma I. Darnell, Fulton County Board of Commissioners, District 5, will host a town hall meeting for residents of District 5 centered on the “North Fulton Redistricting Plan” now before the Georgia General Assembly that changes the governance structure of Fulton County from five (5) district seats and two At-large seats to three majority districts in the North and three minority districts in the South and one at large (Chairman).

Fulton County’s Office of Workforce Development Moves the YES Youth Training and Employment Program to Oak Hill | Print |

The Fulton County Housing and Human Services Department, Office of Workforce Development’s Y.E.S. (Youth Enrichment Services) program works year-round to reduce the unemployment rate.    The Y.E.S. Office recently moved to the Oak Hill Child, Adolescent and Family Center located at 2805 Metropolitan Parkway in Atlanta to provide career and education counseling for young people between 16 and 21years old.  How does it benefit youth?
