Fulton County to Host AT&T Senior Tech Rallies to Help Seniors to Learn to Use the Latest Technology | Print |

Workshops at two senior facilities to teach the use of Smartphones, tablets, apps, etc.

Fulton County and AT&T want seniors to embrace the latest electronic communications technology through workshops on how to use items, such as smartphones, tablets, apps (applications).  Two senior multipurpose facilities will host two workshops known as “Senior Tech Rallies”.  Both rallies will be open to registered multipurpose program participants.

Fulton County Cooperative Extension in partnership with CredAbility will sponsor a freeFirst Time Homebuyer Workshop on Friday, November 16, 2012, from 10:00am – 6:00pm at the Atlanta Central Library located at 1 Margaret Mitchell Square, Atlanta, GA 30303 in Suite 109.  Seating is limited.  Registration is required. 

Southwest Arts Center Hosts Trading Cards Exhibition | Print |

Southwest Arts Center hosts the Trading Cards Exhibition, a creative way to collect original works of art from other artists. Artist Trading Cards (ATC) are original, self-produced works of art produced on a 2.5” x 3.5” surface.  ATCs have been a growing movement since 1997 and they have sparked interest among artists who also like to “trade” their work to other artists participating in exhibitions.  During the Southwest Arts Center’s Trading Cards Exhibition opening reception, artists will be able to “trade” as well as create and exchange their own artistic trading cards.

Thousands of Fulton County Voters Take Part in Advance Voting | Print |

More than 11,000 voters in Fulton County have already cast their ballot in the first three days of the Advance Voting period.

Along with their Georgia Voter stickers, the first 1,000 voters at each Advance Voting location were surprised to receive an “I Voted Early” button!

Fulton County Holds Grand Opening for the New Fire Station 11 | Print |

Fulton County held a Grand Opening Celebration for the new Fire Station 11 on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. In lieu of a ribbon-cutting, they separated a fire hose as the ceremonial opening of the station. The new station was built on the same site as the old station at 4760 Fulton Industrial Boulevard, Atlanta, GA 30336.
