The Fulton County Neighborhood Union Health Center will host Family Health and Fitness Day on Saturday, November 20, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.  The day will feature blood pressure screenings, diabetes screenings along with Yoga and aerobic exercise demonstrations.

Participants can also take advantage of a cooking demonstration to emphasize the need for families to enjoy healthy meals in order to maintain optimum health.  The demonstration will include instruction on the proper reading of food labels and the best strategies for making healthy cooking choices

“We want to use Family Health and Fitness Day at Neighborhood Union as a means of bringing families together to learn how to make good health and fitness a part of their daily lifestyles through healthy eating, regular health checks and exercise to help maintain healthy body weights,” said Fulton County Health Services Director Dr. Patrice A. Harris.
