Fulton County Public Works Working Through the Night to Treat Roads During Severe Winter Weather | Print |

Fulton County Public Works is working diligently to treat snow covered County roads in unincorporated Fulton during the severe winter weather.  Trucks began spreading a mixture of sand and calcium chloride around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2011.

According to local weather experts the area is expected to get 3 to 5 inches of snow with temperatures falling to the low and mid 20's.
Richard Coates, Assistant Director of Public Works said, "We will continue to treat the roads throughout the night and are advising residents to stay off the roads unless it is absolutely necessary."

Monday freezing rain is expected to follow the snow with sleet falling in the morning.
Fulton County's Public Works Department will continue to monitor the conditions of all bridges, overpasses and critical roads during the severe winter weather.
