Fulton County has opened warming centers at two additional Fulton County facilities to assist residents who have been affected by the Winter Storm.  The warming sites will be open around the clock during the winter storm.  According to reports from the National Weather Service, accumulations of snow and ice have created dangerous driving conditions throughout the Metropolitan Atlanta region and Fulton County.  Additionally, widespread power outages are currently being reported.

  • Helene S. Mills Senior Multipurpose Facility, 515 Johns Wesley Dobbs Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30331

The warming centers opened last night Tuesday, February 11, 2014 and will remain open around the clock.  These facilities have cots, blankets and backup generators in the event of power outages.

Residents are encouraged to bring warm clothing, soap, towels, blankets, pillows, phone chargers and prescription medications.  Families with children are encouraged to bring toys, books and other items to keep children comfortable.
