Fulton County Residents Encouraged to Register to Vote for Upcoming 2014 Elections | Print |

The Fulton County Department of Registration and Elections, reminds residents who intend to vote in the Primary Election on May 20, 2014, that the voter registration deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Monday, April 21, 2014. Voter Registration forms are available for download at www.fultonelections.com.

Richard Barron, Director of Registration & Elections, encourages new Fulton County residents to register to vote and recommends that all registered voters ensure that their information on file with the Department is up-to-date.

To register to vote in the state of Georgia, you must satisfy these requirements: 1) be a citizen of the United States; 2) be a legal resident of Georgia and of the county in which you wish to vote; 3) be at least 18 years of age on Election Day. Once the Department receives the voter registration application, precinct cards are mailed within two to three weeks of that receipt.

Residents can register to vote or update their voter information at one of three County offices:

  • Fulton County Board of Registration and Elections Main Office, 130 Peachtree Street, SW, Atlanta, GA 30303
  • Fulton County North Service Center Office, 7741 Roswell Road, Atlanta, GA 30350
  • Fulton County South Service Center Office, 5600 Stonewall Tell Road, College Park, GA 30349

Voter registration forms are also available at all branches of the Atlanta-Fulton County Public Library System, the Georgia Secretary of State office and the Georgia Department of Driver Services.  

Residents who have changed their name, moved within Fulton County or recently moved to Fulton County should complete the voter registration form to update their information and address.

Voters registering for the first time in Georgia by mail must provide one of the following forms of identification:

  • a Georgia Driver’s License, even if expired;
  • any valid state or federal government issued photo ID, including a FREE Voter ID Card issued by Fulton County Department of Registration & Elections or the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS);
  • valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any county, municipality, board, authority or other entity of this state;
  • valid U.S. passport ID;
  • valid U.S. military photo ID;
  • valid tribal photo ID;
  • a copy of a current utility bill;
  • a bank statement;
  • a government check;
  • a paycheck; or
