Fulton County Police Participates in “National Night Out” 2014 | Print |

The Fulton County Police Department, in partnership with Fulton County agencies and local neighborhoods are joining forces with thousands of communities across the nation to celebrate and participate in National Night Out 2014.

National Night Out (NNO) is an annual crime and drug prevention event.   Each year the Fulton County police department looks forward to sharing information with Fulton County residents about ways to form partnerships to help make their neighborhoods safe places to live, work and play.  

Join the Fulton County Police Department at their “National Night Out” on Tuesday, August 5,   2014, from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m., at the 112 Mega-Plex located at 5495 Old National Highway, College Park, GA 30349.

National Night Out is organized to heighten crime awareness and support for crime and drug prevention efforts sending a message to criminals that neighborhoods are working together and fighting back against crime.   Additionally, it strengthens neighborhoods and police and community partnerships.

“Our National Night Out event is an award winning initiative and each year make hosting such an amazing event a priority. This event provides the community with an opportunity to learn more about the law enforcement and public safety agencies that serve them.   I know without a doubt that with help from the community we can make our communities the safest and enjoyable places to live,” said Fulton County Police Chief Cassandra Jones.

Other Fulton County agencies participating with the Fulton County Police Department include; the Fulton County Sheriff’s Department, Fulton County Marshal’s Office, Court Watch, Office of Behavioral Health Services, Health and Wellness, and the Fulton County Fire Rescue Department will also be on hand for kids to enjoy and learn about police and fire safety. Several companies and businesses from the community are also participating in the event.   Visitors can talk to representatives from local homeowners associations enjoy live entertainment, food and fun activities for the kids.
