Fulton County Requests Proposals for up to $537,384 in CHDO Set Aside and HOME Housing Development Funds | Print |

The Fulton County Housing and Community Development Department announces the availability of funding through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD’s) HOME Investment Partnerships Program.    

The funds are divided into two categories: an amount specific to Community Housing Development Organizations (CHDOs) only and another that is available to Developers and Non- Profits as well as CHDOs.   The CHDOs may apply for the total amount of available funds.

Eligible applicants must have a shovel-ready project and demonstrate capacity and experience in the development of affordable housing.   All funds are for housing development activities that result in safe, decent, and affordable housing for low‐ to moderate‐income households in Fulton County that are outside of the city limits of Atlanta, Roswell, and Sandy Springs.   All applicants must be qualified and CHDOs must meet certification criteria.   The applicants must also meet all application requirements outlined in the Request for Application packet.

Eligible activities for consideration include:

  •   acquisition and/or rehabilitation of rental property
  •   new construction of rental housing
  •   acquisition and/or rehabilitation of homebuyer property
  •   new construction of homebuyer property
  •   direct financial assistance to purchasers of HOME‐assisted housing

The available funds will be awarded through a competitive application process.   The Fulton County Department of Housing and Community Development will evaluate and rank all applications. The County will submit eligible applications for recommendations, then forward the recommendations to the Fulton County Board of Commissioners for final approval.
