Fulton County Cooperative Extension Challenges Residents to Walk Georgia for Improv | Print |

Registration begins February 1st

Walking is something most people can do, regardless of their individual level of fitness.

Fulton County Cooperative Extension encourages residents to track their fitness by participating in Walk Georgia! Regardless of whether you have an active and physical lifestyle or whether your normal physical activity is a short trip from the couch to the refrigerator, increasing the amount of daily walking has significant benefits for both short and long term health goals.

The University of Georgia’s Walk Georgia program provides free fitness tracking, fitness tips, encouragement and resources like healthy recipes and fitness demos to help you get into gear! The website allows users to track their activities and record fitness progress. Users can see how they stack up against others in the state and can even create custom group challenges!

Sign-up today to be able to participate in the Annual Walk Georgia Night at the Atlanta Hawks Event on February 20th. Atlanta Hawks v. Milwaukee Bucks tickets are discounted for just $19.00 for participants! Tickets also include a Walk Georgia t-shirt, VIP pre-game access and activities, and the chance to support a healthier Georgia!

Register for free on www.WalkGeorgia.org and join the “Fulton County Fitness Challenge” group to participate and compete against others for improved health. Rewards and incentives will be given!
