Fulton County Unveils Social Media Campaign Highlighting Seniors during Older Americans Month | Print |

The Fulton County Aging and Youth Services Department and the External Affairs Department has unveiled a new social media campaign - #SeniorsOfFulton to celebrate and recognize the contributions of our Nation’s seniors throughout Older Americans Month in May.

The first senior highlighted in the campaign is Mrs. Dorothy C. Benson, a trailblazer for which the Dorothy C. Benson Senior Multipurpose Facility is named. Various seniors who attend the Fulton County Senior Multipurpose Centers will be highlighted on the county’s social media channels including,  Facebook,  Twitter, and  Instagram  during the month.   Seniors who attend the Dorothy C. Benson Senior Multipurpose Facility, H.J.C. Bowden Senior Multipurpose Facility, Harriett G. Darnell Senior Multipurpose Facility, and Helene Mills Senior Multipurpose Facility will be spotlighted for their contributions and participation in various center programs and activities.

Inspired by the popular “Humans of New York” campaign, the #SeniorsOfFulton encourages online users to post photos on their own social media channels using the hashtag #SeniorsOfFulton, thereby showing support of the campaign and encouraging others to join.
