In a two-hour Q&A session, service delivery concerns expressed by residents included solid waste, senior transportation and pedestrian sidewalks. Residents also expressed deep concerns related to the condition of tennis centers and courts including Creel Park and Burdett Park, zoning and land-use patterns in neighborhoods adjacent to Old National Highway noting a concentration of starter homes in the area. Department representatives presenting Special Reports included Gary Stiles, Chief of Police, Police Athletic League, Crime Prevention and Crime Suppression Strategies.

“We appreciate the large number of residents who came out tonight to help us meet our legal and moral responsibilities to all the taxpayers of District 6,” Commissioner Darnell stated. “Together,” she stated, “we will get it done!”
