WHAT: Arrest Record Restriction Pre-Screening Event

A large crowd is expected at the second pre-screening event to determine if individuals are eligible to have their arrest records restricted. This event is sponsored by Fulton County Board of Commissioners Chairman Dr. John H. Eaves, Dr. Raphael G. Warnock, Senior Pastor of Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church, and Detria Russell, Executive Director for the Martin Luther King Sr. Community Resources Collaborative.

More than 100 people attended the first pre-screening event held August 25, 2016 and it was determined that approximately 80 percent were eligible to get their offenses removed from their record.

"We have been flooded with calls from those who have unresolved arrests associated with their name," said Eaves. "Many of these people deserve a clean slate and a second chance."

ELIGIBILITY: See attached flyer for details.

NEXT STEP: To complete the entire record restriction process, those eligible must participate in the final step which is the Records Restriction Summit. It will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the above location.
