Fulton County Youth Commissioners honored the late District 4 Commissioner Joan P. Garner with a plaque and planting of a Redbud seedling in front of the Fulton County Government Center on Wednesday, May 18, 2017.   Garner was the sponsoring commissioner for the Youth Commission.

Sponsored by the Fulton County Board of Commissioners and coordinated through the Office of Children and Youth, the Fulton County Youth Commission is a leadership and service orientated program that empowers young people to become knowledgeable and involved in the local governmental process.
