Fulton County District 5 Commissioner Marvin S. Arrington, Jr., in cooperation with the Fulton County Department of Housing & Community Development, will once again sponsor a drive to collect winter coats, clothes and blankets to help those who are in need during the holiday season.
As part of the “Blanket Atlanta with Love” initiative, bins will be placed around Fulton County to gather blankets, coats, ponchos, and other cold weather clothing for those in need from November 7th   through November 18th, 2017. The Drive will culminate with the distribution of the new and gently used goods collected at the Fulton County Government Center courtyard located at corner of Mitchell and Peachtree Streets in downtown Atlanta on November 21st from 5pm to 7pm.
“While there are entities that offer more sustainable initiatives and programs, we want to do our part in reaching out to Atlanta’s invisible citizens, those in need,” says Commissioner Arrington.   “To whom much is given, much is required.”
