Fulton County Clover Leaf 4-H’ers Win at District Project Achievement Competition at Rock Eagle | Print |

In March 2015 Fulton County Cloverleaf 4-H’ers participated in District Project Achievement (DPA) at Rock Eagle 4-H Center and placed in five competitive categories. 4-H Project Achievement is a cornerstone in the Georgia 4-H program that serves to showcase 4-H'ers work and success while providing participants with skills for a lifetime.

Project Achievement helps 4-H'ers develop both oral and written communication skills while becoming knowledgeable in their topic of interest. 4-H'ers investigates a topic to prepare demonstrations, give a fine arts performance, do a step-by-step food product preparation or present an illustrated talk with posters and props to show what they have learned during a friendly competition between participating county 4-H programs.

The official objectives of DPA are:

1. To acquire an understanding of subject matter in a project area.
2. To develop skills in researching, assembling and presenting information.
3. To provide opportunities for 4-H members to develop integrity, sportsmanship, cooperation, poise and self-confidence.
4. To help 4-H members develop skills in leadership and communication.
5. To stimulate interest in continuing involvement in 4-H.

Fulton County 4-H is pleased to announce that out of the twelve Cloverleaf 4-H’ers (5th and 6th graders) to compete, five students from the Fulton County Future Foundations after school program placed during this year’s competition. The names are as followed:
