Governor Nathan Deal has appointed Fulton County District 1 Commissioner Liz Hausmann to serve on the State Workforce Development Board (SWDB). As a board member, Commissioner Hausmann will be tasked with administering Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds across the state and overseeing the Governor’s state workforce development initiatives.

“I am honored to receive this appointment from the Governor,” states Commissioner Liz Hausmann. “The work of the State Workforce Development Board is important to ensure that we have a qualified workforce throughout Georgia to maintain our status as the number one State in which to do business.”
The SWDB is comprised of business owners, members of the Georgia General Assembly, statewide agency heads, local elected officials, and representatives from other workforce groups.
In addition to serving on the Board, Commissioner Hausmann is the vice president of government affairs for the Greater North Fulton Chamber of Commerce, a vice chair of the Atlanta-Fulton Water Resources Commission, a member of the House Commission on Transit Governance and Funding and a member of the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.
