WorkSource Fulton to Hire Veterans in Collaboration with Veterans Home & Business Services | Print |

WorkSource Fulton and Veterans Home and Business Services are recruiting veterans to apply for Home Technician positions.  The collaboration serves to create more work opportunities for men and women who have honorably served their country as well as those who continue to serve on a part-time basis.

WorkSource is assisting with the recruitment, screening, and hiring of Home Technicians I and II at pay rates that range from $15 to $30 per hour.  Available positions include electricians, general repairpersons, camera installers, carpentry/painters, plumbers, smart home technicians, security system installers, and appliance repair personnel.

Mandatory requirements include:

  • Veteran with honorable discharge on DD214 (full and part-time positions available)
  • Active duty (part-time positions available)
  • Member of the National Guard, Reserve, Coast Guard (full and part-time positions available), or Firefighters and Police Officers (part-time positions available)
  • ROTC college students can work on part time basis and during holidays and summer with a 3.0 GPA or above

Additional mandatory requirements include but are not limited to the following recruitment criteria:

  • Pass a national background check and submit a local background check before being hired
  • Pass a drug test and participate in random drug testing
  • Have a valid driver's license with reliable and clean transportation for first 90 days to drive to at least five to six customers per day
  • Company vehicle will be available after 90 days of service and fulfillment of job service delivery criteria
  • Must provide three verifiable references, a resume, and a cover letter explaining why an applicant would be an asset to the company
