DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

The Central Training Center offers Community Access and Prevocational Services to adults with developmental disabilities.   These services include:

  • Community integration
  • Individual & group training
  • Individualized service plans
  • Daily living & socialization skills
  • Parent support groups
  • Nutritional lunches
  • Supported employment referrals

An important focus for persons with developmental disabilities is community integration, which provides an opportunity for individuals to grow, develop and thrive while having the chance for social & physical integration in home and through community activities.

PARENT GROUP

The Central Training Center has a nonprofit organization established by the parents and family members of individuals who receive services at this facility.   The organization is called the Parent Teacher Client Organization (PTCO), and you can learn more about the group here.

UPCOMING EVENTS

Art Exhibit Poster

The Fulton County Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities will host  "CREATIVE LIKE ME!", an art exhibit featuring the works of individuals from our three Training Centers who have developmental disabilities.   The exhibition will be held at the Peachtree Gallery from March 7 - May 24, 2018 at the Fulton County Government Center.

On April 3, 2018 at 10:30 AM, the Fulton County Department of Behavioral Health & Developmental Disabilities will host  "THE VALUE OF CREATIVE EXPRESSION".   This is a panel discussion that focuses on opportunities to involve people with developmental disabilities in the arts.   This event will be held at the Central Training Center located at 425 Langhorn Street, SW, Atlanta 30310.    Learn more about both events here.
